Baby Mum Mum
Sophie's first official word is "mum mum." A Baby Mum Mum is a rice cracker that is kind of shaped like a surfboard. Sophie loves these things. She will pound her hands against the cabinet where we keep the mum mums and say "mum mum" over and over again. If she hears the package open, she will say "mum mum." She has been saying it for a few weeks now. I also think she is trying to say tooth. She touches my teeth and and goes "ta ta."

Toothy
If you look closely you can see Sophie's first tooth. She tends to play with it using her tongue so it can be pretty elusive.
Fun with Books
Here is Sophie giving kisses to the babies in one of her favorite books. She doesn't always kiss the same ones. She spreads the love around.
For some reason a page in this book makes Sophie giggle like crazy. This is one of the milder giggle sessions that erupt for the "These animals have tails" page. I'm not sure if she's laughing about the tails because she associates tails with Ty or she just likes the animals. Whatever it is, she's loving it.
First Steps
Sophie had taken several steps before I could get the camera. For several weeks she was walking pretty well. However, this past week she returned to crawling. Not sure if this is because of her teeth coming in or if she suddenly became more cautious. It's a little sad to see her growing up. She's a full blown toddler now. The temper tantrums give it away.
